THE ROLE OF Marketing & Communications is to bring clarity to what York stands for among its many target audiences and enhance the reputation of York by communicating York in a strategic and consistent way.
Marketing & Communications was set up in January 2003 to meet the specialized communications needs of the University in the highly competitive education marketplace by ensuring that all communications throughout the university consistently meet high standards, reflect our mission and are in-line with our brand strategy.
Marketing & Communications is comprised of three specializations:
- Account Direction – branded marketing materials
- Publications – YorkU magazine, YFile and York Events
- Media Relations – strategic communications externally and internally, including media releases
